The Life of a Lie

A lie is conceived in silence in the mind of a liar, and it remains harmless if it stays there. Given life when the thinking is spoken or written down, it grows with sharing and spreading and dies with sharing and spreading no more. Sadly, the iniquity of social media often keeps it growing and extends the half-life beyond the whole life of truth.
