Blowing smoke. Pandering. Passing Gas. Pimping. Kissing ass. Whatever you call it, broadcasters and politicians are full of it in efforts to appear sincere and promote and create advantage in mindless conversation. There is no simple answer here but broadcasters promoting, promising, and purveying nothing and politicians meeting on a grand scale to blow toxic smoke up our collective asses is not working and should be criminalized.

Kissing babies on the campaign trail.
Banning members of Congress from trading stocks.
Continuing to release oil reserves with no effect on prices at the pump.
Doubling down on gun control talks.
Conversating with predictions.
Suggesting that we wait until the booster is available before getting it.
Creating narrative rather than reporting facts.
Warnings from the CDC and permissions from the FDA.
Giving police an impossible job to do and when they do it in ways judged unacceptable, chastising or getting rid of them.
Giving politicians a simple job to do and when they do it in ways judged unacceptable, forgiving or reelecting them.
Urging new police hiring as crime surges.
Mandating social distances and face masks.
Conversations about abortion, gun violence, or reseasonable decisions from billionaires.
Giving money to out-of-work people and then claiming crisis and breaking news when they don’t want to go back to work.
Hosting a virtual COVID-19 Summit that accomplishes virtually nothing much like the previous hundreds of other virtual and non-virtual “Breaking News” meetings at the White House.
