Tired of Talk
A poorly-conceived and narrowly-shared lie is bad; a carefully-conceived and widely-shared lie is worse. Politicians, provocateurs, and other purveyors of the sometimes untrue thrive in spaces where there is no evidence and no immediate way to confirm their lies. Journalists, news breakers, and other self-anointed pundits with nothing to say, pass on the garbage as truth in efforts to appear knowledgeable. Without accountability, conscience, or oversight and despite alarm, talk trumps truth any day.
