Dr. Fauci, The Tragicall Tale and Tail of A. Fauci
Doctor Fauci portrays pride as the sin at the root of Fauci’s fall. If he hadn’t been so full of himself, his butt would not have been in the ringer and he would not have sold his soul to the devil. A whole boatload of other sins, among them self-importance, covetousness, and despair, all work together to bring about the fall. A boatload of egotistical narrative put the politicization of the pandemic on his plate and there was no way to eat around it, so he just kept cooking the brew and feeding the monster.
Dr. Fauci sells as a story of doctor-turned-thaumaturge, who makes a pact with the devil in order to obtain knowledge and power. Both Doctor Faustus and his Schwager Mephisto Joe (the devil’s intermediary) are fully and powerfully involved. While Fauci’s grand proclamations are fatuous (Just before Mephisto Joe got sick: U.S. no longer in “full-blown” pandemic phase), feckless (Get vaccinated and stay up to date on your vaccines), and foolish (If you are not up to date on vaccines, stay at least 6 feet away from other people and wear a mask), his ambitions remain unknown and his accomplishments small and unimportant, except in his own mind and the emptiness that is Mephisto Joe. He remains the least-respected-, least-listened-to-person formerly or currently at the Centers for Disease Control or other government agency but he just keeping talking.

Much like Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH that centers around a colony of escaped lab rats–the rats of NIMH–who live in a technologically sophisticated and literate society mimicking that of humans and come to the aid of Mrs. Frisby, a widowed field mouse who seeks to protect her children and home from destruction by a farmer’s plow, Nightmare of Lost Luggage focuses the Fruit Fly Effect emerging from the toxic cloud resulting from rotting cheese and fruit, soiled underwear, and stolen towels imprisoned in unclaimed baggage in major airports across the country.
