Talk Don’t Make It So
We are a nation of mindless talk. Local news personalities promote a “Good Question” segment where they stand around, foot-to-foot shifting and looking serious while sharing insights and answers to stupid questions like: ‘Can certain foods prevent nightmares?” and “How can my dog avoid getting pregnant?” Overpaid and overpromising one-time celebrities and wannabees constantly promote, in person, podcast, and pomposity, the improbable and unlikely (e.g., a new kind of bank(ing), low-cost insurance, online betting, financial security, purchasing power, and prosperity, only bet what you can afford). There clearly are no filters or reservations and it gets worse as it continues unchecked.
